As a lifelong artist, I have experimented with a variety of art media, and today am primarily a painter. I sell both traditional paintings and painted canvas mats, and want to make real art accessible to everyone by charging reasonable prices.My interest in art began as a child (just ask my mother!), and in college I combined that passion with my interest in history to become an art history major. Today, many of my works are influenced by the great artists of our past.
A native Minnesotan, I was born and raised in Duluth along the shores of Lake Superior. There, I formed a deep connection to water, which surfaces as a recurrent artistic theme. In fact, many of my pieces are directly of the many aspects of water. In creating my artwork, I focus on the effects that color, shape, and line have. I prefer to paint abstract pieces – they are fun, and are open to interpretation! Mostly, my work is about life, and often involves our ties to water and to nature. In this way, my creation process can be very spiritual, and each piece is carefully made.
